The shared Nipissing University and Canadore College campus sits on the territory of Nipissing First Nation, the territory of the Anishnabek, within lands protected by the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850. We are grateful to be able to live and learn on these lands with all our relations.

Hello, Boozhoo, Aaniin, Tansi, Wotziye, Tanshi, Asujutilli, Ho/Han,
The purpose of this guide is to provide visitors with basic information, resource guidance, and supports while learning more about treaties across Turtle Island. It provides connections to physical and online resources held within the Libraries collection to support learning and research on treaty history in this country and ongoing responsibilities.
These learning resources originate from a variety of sources including Indigenous Knowledge-Keepers, authors, lawyers, politicians, organizations, and education facilities, as well as the Government of Ontario and the Canadian government. Other pages include recommended resources for children and young adults, as well as Kits and other hands-on materials.
We Are All Treaty People.
