First Year / New to the Library

This is the log in information for Nipissing. For Canadore's log in information to access electronic resources click the tab above labelled Canadore

When accessing e-resources or when you want to view your library account (see what you have signed out, requests made, renew items etc.) you will be asked to log in. To save yourself time you can log in to Nipissing Search before you start searching

  • To log in select the SIGN IN option located in the top right hand corner of the page

  • Select Nipissing University from the window that appears, then enter your log in information
    • If you are already signed into Blackboard you will be automatically logged in without having to reenter your information

User ID: Blackboard/WebAdvisor ID (student email or faculty/staff number)

Password: Blackboard/WebAdvisor password.

If your login isn't working, or you are unable to recall your password you can reset it by going to myaccount.microsoft.com

If you are still unable to log in please contact University Technology Services by calling them at (705) 474-3450, extension 4342 or sending them an email (techsrv@nipissingu.ca)

This is the log in information for Canadore. For Nipissing log in information to access electronic resources click the tab above labelled Nipissing. 

Accessing articles, eBooks, streaming videos and other electronic resources requires a different log in than your Library Account.

USERNAME: STUDENT ID NUMBER (ex. A00061313) or STAFF ID NUMBER

PASSWORD: Canadore Email Password 

  • Use the search bar to look for materials by entering, keywords, author name, or title
  • When you find an electronic resource select the AVAILABLE ONLINE text
  • An information window will pop up with a section titled VIEW ONLINE, this section will contain one or more links that can be selected to access the item online

  • Clicking a link may take you directly to the item OR it will take you to a log in window 

    • USERNAME: STUDENT ID NUMBER (ex. A00061313) or STAFF ID NUMBER

    • PASSWORD: Canadore Email Password
